Collecting Christmas hampers

We organise all sorts of Christmas events. If you see Santa’s sleigh in your local village or town, that’s probably us. Rotarians use Christmas as an opportunity to help their communities by providing for the less fortunate, helping to spread a message of goodwill and hope – as well as collecting funds for other charitable activities.

The Rotary Club of Leicester collected over 60 hampers for local foodbanks to distribute to families in need this Christmas. This was supported by students at De Montfort University who volunteered their time to package and deliver the hampers.

Also, members of local and regional Rotary Clubs supported a sponsored walk. The aim was to complete the 2850 kilometres from Northampton to Lapland.
